Dr. Karen Major, Au.D. – Southwest Florida’s Dr. Cliff Approved Hearing Up Provider

Dr. Major received her Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Florida and her Master in Audiology from Brooklyn College. She has been a practicing audiologist for 22 years. A native New Yorker, she completed externships at such notable facilities as Bellevue Hospital, Queens Hospital and Long Island College Hospital. Dr. Major moved to Florida to pursue her career at the prestigious Silverstein Institute and has since gained experience at several other notable otolaryngology and audiology practices.

Her extensive experience makes her an expert in audiological and vestibular evaluation and treatment, and she always follows best practices when providing care to her patients. This includes using current verification and validation measurements when fitting hearing aids. She is excited to find her home in private practice at the Southwest Florida Center for Hearing and Balance. When Dr. Major isn’t in the office she can be found at home with her husband, who is also an audiologist, and their daughter Olivia, who is a dedicated competitive all-star cheerleader.

Dr. Major is proud to be Southwest Florida’s FIRST and only Dr. Cliff approved provider. She has championed best practices for many years, especially in her tenure at Southwest Florida Center for Hearing and Balance. The practice has consistently performed Real Ear Measurements and Speech in Noise testing as well patient driven profiles of benefit for the majority of its existence. Dr. Major’s goal is to consistently use state of the art technology coupled with objective measures to help our patients achieve their best hearing. Patients along the gulf coast of Florida including all of Ft.
